About the project
The Deutsches Studentenwerk (DSW) is the voluntary association of student services organizations in the Federal Republic of Germany. In their job exchange, they offer jobs and apprenticeships in the areas of university catering, housing, student finance, counseling, administration, childcare, culture and international/intercultural affairs.
Role: UI Designer
Date: March – September 2024
Challenge
After almost 10 years, it was time for a visual change. The focus was on attractive visual elements, intuitive user guidance, easy-to-read text and optimisation for display on smartphones.
Solution
The design is friendly and communicative. The use of portraits of various professions makes it immediately clear to visitors to the website who the job exchange is aimed at.
New icons are used to present the different areas of work.
Colors and fonts are based on the client’s style guide.
The job search can already be accessed on the homepage via a search mask. A clickable map of Germany with all affiliated Studentenwerke allows visitors to jump directly to the Studentenwerk in their location.
Features
The design is barrier-free in accordance with the requirements of BITV 2.0. In addition, the grid is based on Bootstrap to enable automatic adaptation to all end devices in the form of responsive web designs.
